W.A.L.C was set up in 1998 under the guidance of the Federation of Disability Sports Organisation and the National Autistic Society . Later that year it was transferred offically to club status and the Wakefield Autism Leisure Club was born. . Over the years it has grown and we have had to expand our age range to include a junior section, and the club has naturally progressed to include young people with other learning disabilities/difficulties.
